General website content

  • The website content must reflect the merchant's licensed business activity. The website URL must match the one provided in the application; no other website can be used.
  • The website must not contain or display prohibited products/services.
  • The website should include descriptions, pricing of items/products/services, and the transaction currency.
  • The home page should display logos of accepted cards.

About us page

  • Clearly mention the nature and description of the business.

Terms and conditions (T&C)

The following information must be included:
  • "Saudi Arabia" is our country of domicile" and specify that the governing law is local law.
  • Specify which payment methods (e.g. Visa and MasterCard) and currencies are accepted.
  • State that trading or services will not be provided to OFAC-sanctioned countries.
  • Specify that minors under 18 years old cannot register as users or transact on the website.
  • Cardholders must retain copies of transaction records and adhere to merchant policies and rules.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their accounts.
  • Ensure that the website clearly states that the company name mentioned in the registered trade license owns, maintains, and operates the website.
  • Any purchase, dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of UAE.
  • The displayed price and currency at the checkout page, will be the same price and currency printed on the Transaction Receipt and the amount charged to the card will be shown in your card currency.

Privacy policy (PP)

  • Ensure that credit/debit card details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to third parties.
  • Specify that debit/credit card details are not passed to third parties.
  • Merchant takes appropriate steps to ensure data privacy and security including through various hardware and software methodologies. However, merchant cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online.
  • The merchant is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites to which it links. If you provide any information to such third parties different rules regarding the collection and use of your personal information may apply. You should contact these entities directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.
  • The Website Policies and Terms & Conditions may be changed or updated occasionally to meet the requirements and standards. Therefore, the customers are encouraged to frequently visit these sections to be updated about the changes on the website. Modifications will be effective on the day they are posted.
  • COOKIE POLICY - To ensure compliance with regulations, please add a cookie policy to your website. This policy should inform users about the use of cookies, including the types used and their purposes.

Product delivery policy

Clearly outline the process:
  • Process of shipping the items/goods conditions.
  • Delivery fees or Free Delivery.
  • Delivery time to local/ International.

Payment Confirmation - Services.

  • Must mention the process of how the customer will receive the payment confirmation (ex; by email or SMS or mail) and the time the payment confirmation will reach the customer.

Refund policy

State that refunds will be credited to the original mode of payment and processed within 10 to 45 days, depending on the credit card issuing bank.

Merchant must detail the return, refund, and cancellation policy clearly on the Website to inform Cardholders of their rights and responsibilities:

  • The wrong product was sent by the merchant.
  • The product is defective.
  • The product was damaged in shipping.
  • The product is tampered.

If there is no refund policy, this must be very clearly communicated to cardholders before they make a purchase decision to prevent misunderstandings and disputes.

Cancellation policy

  • Merchant will not pass any debit/credit card details to third parties
  • The conditions under which cancellation & replacement will be allowed
  • If No Cancellation policy, this must be very clearly communicated to Cardholders before the purchase decision is made, to prevent misunderstanding and disputes.
